Instructors
Danielle [Ella] C. G. Alys  B.A. (Hons.), RYT, REPS, RYS  -  Director of the  'Yoga Chikitsa Academy' (Nottingham) & 'Life Centre' (National).

Ella's teaching draws from the Krishnamacharya lineage - K Pattabhi Jois - R Sharath and Brian Cooper (Derek Ireland). The business core - 'Life Centre', works an individualized approach and treats every person as absolutely unique, thus all students are taught one-to-one according to his or her individual capacity at any given time.  To reach more people, Ella travels throughout the UK, as a yoga teacher and therapist,

An originator of the 'Alys Yoga Method' incorporates Ashtanga Yoga, building strength and stamina and Yoga Therapy that includes deep relaxation. A precise yoga method for the complete beginner to the advanced yoga practitioner, thus suitable for all.  A yoga practice, that includes postures, breath control, meditation, relaxation and more.

Teachers: Brian Cooper (top photo) -Yoga Alliance UK & Dr Robin Monro - Yoga Biomedical Trust.

Ella's teaching style draws on 'Yoga Therapy' training and her own personal experience of yoga as a therapy - for pain management, as she lives with lower back and hip injuries as a result of accidents and suffers no pain. Yoga Therapy sessions are available at five venues in Nottingham: Lace Market, West Bridgford, Arnold, Sherwood and The Park, also throughout the UK.

Yoga aids stress management as during a stressful period of Ella's life, when working in property sales in Kensington & Chelsea Borough, London, yoga helped her to cope with the demands of a sales role.  She originally commenced the ashtanga yoga practice at the 'Life Centre' , West London in 1998.

Yoga Philosophy - the spiritual way gave Ella more energy to lead a more healthy and progressive life.  She  offers guidance by one hour telephone and one-to-one sessions nationally.

Attended workshops by Guruji Sri Pattabhi Jois (second photo down), founder of the Ashtanga Yoga Research Institute in Mysore, India - (The Mysore Style).

Residential retreats of Dr Shrikrishna Bhushan (third photo down), Director of the Kaivalyadhama Institute in Bombay, India - (Asanas (postures), Pranayama (breathing techniques) and Dhyana (meditation techniques)).

Also, intensive workshops with Paul & Suzee Grilley (forth photo down), anatomist and Yin Yoga teacher - (the human skeleton and the yin yoga practice with emphasis on the connective tissue of the hips, pelvis and lower spine).

Ella continues to learn and develop her practice and experience of yoga by attending regular workshops throughout the year.
